Well, it has been a hectic week around here. Lots of places to go and not enough time to do it in.
On Wednesday we took a drive over to Boone NC to meet up with some friends for lunch. We went to a great place called Bandanna's. They specialize in Barbeque. It was some of the best barbeque I have eaten in a long time. When we arived we were greeting by the owner who explained they were filming a TV commercial and asked if we wanted to be in it. Of course, you know me - any chance to be discovered - you never know when a talent scout might be lurking around.

We also went to a place to visit with some other friends, Earl and Bonita. Our families have been friends for close to 50 years. It was a great to see them and reminisce over old times.

Driving through the mountains of North Carolina was beautiful. I love these mountains.

When we got back to Mountain City, I had to have my internet fix so I packed up my laptop and off to Hardees I go. I found me a quiet little corner and I spent four hours in my own little internet world. I was able to get into the chat room for a little while and that made me happy. Of course there were some interruptions as people stopped by to say hello. That's the thing about Hardee's it is the local hangout and THE PLACE to go when you are in Mountain City. Excellent biscuits and gravy too.

On Friday, we drove to Johnson City to take care of some of my brother's affairs. Ate lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. It was an okay lunch. On the way home I got to stop to visit my "beloved kudzu". Kudzu is a plant which grows very fast. It can cover a car in a few days, Also will overtake trees, bushes, buildings, telephone poles etc. If you want more information about it just google it.

Today, I am off to North Carolina and more visiting. You know I can't stay still or the kudzu may overtake me too.

I will leave you with one last picture of some of my relatives who came to greet me.

As always, in the words of my Father, "That's it for Today".

Hey Jenny!! You're only four hours away from me. When you get in the 11' RV you'll be able to stay out this way. Just think of the warmer winters then you have now. Good to see you're doing fine and visiting a lot of people.

Hi Jenny,

So sorry to hear about your brother's passing. Sounds like it is good visiting with family and friends though. I hope you had a good time at the RV-Dreams Rally while you were there.

Hugs,

Jo, Fred and Boo Boo
